Remove Toxins-Chemicals
Heavy Metals
Safely, Effectively, Naturally and Inexpensively
With Bathing Clay or Edible Clay

"Bathing Clay Or Ingesting Clay Will Assist to Remove Heavy Metals, Chemicals and Toxins From the Body. It is the Natural Tendency of Clay."

“Clay has been used medicinally for thousands of year. Dr. Jensen, N.D., D.C., Ph.D., suggests using clay to absorb radiation from the bones. Since so many of us are subject to various forms of radiation, whether from X-rays or television or computers, this would be something to consider. This could be extremely important for those who have undergone radiation treatment for cancer." bathing clay

We cannot completely remove ourselves from every toxin we encounter in daily living, however ingesting and bathing in good quality clay can make a huge difference in clearing out the over accumulation of heavy metals, toxins, and poisons i.e. lead, mercury, arsenic, cadmmium, radiation, chemicals, pesticides, nicotine, parasites, bacteria, radiation and chemotherapy, formaldehyde... to name a few...safely, easily, naturally, effectively and inexpensively.

About Heavy Metals and Toxins

Heavy metals are compounds that accumulate in living things any time they are taken up and stored faster than they are broken down (metabolized) or excreted. They tend to bioaccumulate, which means an increase in the concentration (accumulation) over time.

Heavy metals can enter a water supply by industrial and consumer waste, or even from acidic rain breaking down soils and releasing heavy metals into streams, lakes, rivers, and groundwater, i.e. mercury in fish. A few ways lead is introduced to the body: can be inhaled from fumes (which we cannot smell), through paint, dyes, cables and pipelines, seafood, wine, cigarette smoke, lead containers, drinking water, food supply etc.

Toxins come from many, many sources. A few of the most common sources include:

** Drugs and pharmaceuticals
** Cadmium from smoking
** Aluminum in soda cans and aluminum powder used in baking
** Environment pollutants in the air we breathe i.e. exhaust, smoke,
     fumes, plastics, industrial chemicals etc.
** Food – herbicides, pesticides, food additives and preservatives, msg, to
     name a few
** Water – chemicals, chlorine, polluted lakes, rivers, streams, often
bottled water absorbs toxins from the plastic bottle itself
** Mercury fillings, and fish
** Pesticides and fertilizers we use at home
** Internally from fermentation, putrification, and rancidity from
     undigested foods consumed
** Toxic thoughts and emotionsbathing clay

"It is estimated that 60 to 80 percent of all cancers are a direct result of chemicals in our air, water and food. Further, neuroscientists are now studying the role of environmental toxins in the development of neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases, and in mental/behavioral disorders such as depression, anxiety, schizophrenia and attention deficit disorder.bathing clay

Toxins that directly affect the nervous system are called neurotoxins. Since the nervous system is intricately connected to the immune system, neurotoxins also affect our immune functions. Thus, our very ability to think and feel normally can be drastically affected by exposure to toxins. It does not take a giant leap of logic to realize that we could soon be in such a state of toxic poisoning that we would be unable to "problem-solve" our way out. How serious is the problem? Serious.

Good Quality Clay is Helpfulbathing clay

This article came about from the requests I have received for a bathing clay to remove metal poisons, chemicals and other toxins from the body. My experience and research has left with me with a great deal of insight on how these healing clays work, when eating and bathing with them.

Although there is more to learn about why and how clay works, there is no question it is effective in treating a wide range of illnesses…..absorbing toxins..like a sponge soaks up water, and when eating, also offers an impressive amount of minerals and elements in a readably absorbable form…even the calcium has been shown to enter the bone cell itself, when ingesting 'red desert clay'.

From Eytons Earth - Radiation Protection: "Russian scientists use clay to protect their bodies from radiation when working with nuclear material, by coating their hands and bodies with a hydrated clay "magma" before donning radiation suits. Clay adsorbs radiation so well, in fact, that it was the choice material used to dump into Cherynobl after the nuclear meltdown in the former Soviet Union."

Neva Jensen wrote many articles, letters and a book outlining the research, experiments and the uses and effectiveness of healing with the “red desert clay”. Neva became very ill from DDT poisoning. As a child walking to school, she was sprayed by crop dusting planes. In her search to heal herself, she became a nutritional consultant. During this journey to heal her body, red clay was offered to Neva by an Indian healer. Months later, with daily dosages of the red clay, Neva’s body was restored to health.bathing clay

Ran Knishnisky – author of The Clay Cure wrote “The earth minerals of choice for many is clay. It has been credited with improving the health of many people suffering from a wide range of illnesses i.e. constipation, diarrhea, heavy-metal poisoning, anemia, chronic infections, skin ailments such as eczema and acne, exposure to pesticides and other toxins, arthritis, and stress.”bathing clay

Laura 0. Montreal, Canada First bath, nothing black came out, not even a change in the colour of the clay but the odors were almost intoxicating from a strong chlorine to God only knows what else. I only put one cup in knowing how clogged up and toxic I am, I thought it best to go slow and easy. I soaked for 40 minutes. The most amazing thing happened: I got out of the tub on my own. I haven't been able to do that for over 10 years. I can only take a bath when someone is around to assist me.

What Does Clay Remove From The Body

I am continuing to follow and research the benefits and effectiveness of clay use. As mentioned above, in the material I have covered, my personal experience and those I know who regularly use clay, it is quite effective in removing toxins, bacteria, heavy metals i.e. mercury, lead, cadmium, nickel, copper, aluminum etc. It is helpful in reducing, radiation, nicotine, pesticides, herbicides, free radicals and many other pollutants, poisons and impurities.

How To Take A Clay Bath

First, fill a glass of drinking water (preferably filtered) and have it next to the tub. bathing clay

As your bathtub is filling with very warm/hot water, slowly mix in the clay (very warm/hot water opens the pores of the skin and stimulates the lymph system). Stir the clay as the tub is filling, to keep the clay particles from sticking together.bathing clay

When you are finished with your bath, drink the glass of water to replenish and then shower off.

How much clay to use is an individual choice depending on your health. Since this clay has a powerful ionic charge for pulling out toxins etc. 2 to 3 cups is the amount commonly used (some people use more). The following are some suggestions.

** For the healthy person wanting a maintenance bath, 2 to 3 cups or more can be used…soaking for 20 minutes or so.
** If you are experiencing minor aches and pains, use 1 to 2 cups…soaking in the tub for approximately 15 minutes.

Those with chronic conditions i.e. high blood pressure, heart condition, it is a good idea to check with your doctor first and with approval, try ˝ to 1 cup and soaking in the tub for just 10 minutes. If you cannot get into a tub you can do a foot soak, or even a clay pak. (Eating Terramin would be most beneficial.)bathing clay

Some people let the water and clay go down the drain. Others concerned about clay clogging their drain, wait a few hours for the clay to settle to the bottom of the tub. Then they bucket the water out and use paper towels to scoop out the remaining clay.

Remember to drink the glass of water, and give the body a rest.

Multiple Uses Of Clay

The Clay Pak – Clay works as an antiseptic and has an antibacterial action which in almost all cases will stop the growth of bacteria and microorganisms, making it a complimentary remedy when treating inflammations, infections, open wounds, sprains, broken bones, skin disease and acne. Make a thick paste of clay and water and spread evenly over the affected area OR spread the clay on the back of a piece of cotton cloth and place over the affected area. Leave it on for an hour or so, and replace with a new pak as necessary. To keep the pak moist, use a water bottle and spray.

Eczema, Psoriasis, Itching - Eczema and Psoriasis are common skin complaints. People with eczema and psoriasis have had amazing results in healing when detoxification and changing the diet takes place. The clay bath will be soothing, detoxifying and cleansing for the pain and itching. However, to really heal up these conditions, a combined internal as well as external detoxification program works best in conjunction with changing the diet.

When dealing with eczema and psoriasis naturopathic and holistic doctors recognize the need for a cleansing program to give the elimination system a rest i.e. liver, kidneys, and colon. The Pagano diet, as detailed in the book Healing Psoriasis by chiropractor John Pagano, uses the idea of restoring a healthy digestive track to solve the problem of psoriasis. The implication is that the build up of toxicity leads psoriasis sufferers to expel toxins through secondary systems, namely the skin.bathing clay

A clay bath is recommended to open the pores of the skin, in conjunction with changing the diet, and ingesting edible, pure calcium montmorillonite clay, Terramin, daily. One tablespoon of Terramin in 8 ounces of water one to two times a day is the suggested dosage (first thing in the morning and before bed).

Facial or Body Masque - Clay is a wonderful deep cleansing solution for a facial or body masque. It has an astringent action as well as a toning affect and leaves the skin soft while opening pores and removing dead skin cells.

You may mix clay with water or apple cider vinegar. Make a paste and apply a thin layer to the skin. Since clay has an antibacterial as well as an antiseptic action, it will stop the growth of bacteria, prevent decay, and arrest the development of microorganisms. Leave the masque on for about 20 minutes and rinse off.

Another formula from THE CLAY CURE consists of three ounces of clay, one egg, and equal parts of honey and cold water. The amount of honey added determines the hydrating ability of the masque. Persons with dry skin, or those who live in a dry climate, should add more honey than water. Persons with oily skin, or those who live in a humid climate, may prefer less honey and more water for a more absorbent masque. Leave the masque on for about 20 minutes, then rinse, rub, or brush off. After preparing the masque, you can store what is left over in the refrigerator.

How Does Clay Work

What makes clay effective is the negative ionic charge it carries. (This charge is measurable.) The negative ionic charge in clay is best used by the body for detoxification purposes. The stronger the ionic charge the more effective for pulling out toxins.

All toxins are positively charged. In nature, opposites attract. Thus, the negative ions in the clay attract the toxins, which are positively charged ions.

So, when bathing with a good quality clay that has a powerful drawing effect, toxicities, metals, chemicals, poisons, impurities etc., will literally be pulled out of the body through the pores of the skin, when bathing and when ingested, through the kidneys, liver and lymphatic system and out the elimination channels of the body....safely, effectively and inexpensively. The toxins stick to the clay.

Stimulating the body's elimination system is extremely important in the healing process. We cannot stress enough the importance of utilizing clay baths in conjunction with internal use of calcium montmorillonite clay.

Which Clay Is Bestremove heavy metals

"Although they may have a similar chemical analysis, not all clays are the same."remove heavy metals

There are many detoxifying clays for bathing and most are effective and safe. Our favaorite is the 'red desert clay,' which is a pure calcium montmorillonite.

It can be taken internally (Terramin), as well as used for bathing and poultices, has a very 'powerful negative ionic charge,' has been hydro-thermally altered and seasoned, and very importantly, the majority of particle sizes in the 'red desert clay' are approximately 2 to 3 microns, which allows for greater aDsorption and aBsorption. The tradenames for this clay are Terramin, Terrabathe and Nutramin.

The mine is located in the Southeastern corner of California, near the Mexico border. In this region rainfall is minimal, moisture is nearly non-existent, and temperatures are consistently high. This combination of arid conditions keeps the clay ions in 'open ion state' making them more usable. Many clay deposits found in Northern areas where there is rain, snowfall and leaching are not as likely to be found in an 'open ion state', which makes a big difference in the quality and grade.

There is over 40 years of documented research on the 'red desert calcium montmorillonite clay' and all the studies are favorable. Because of the research denoting ionic exchange capacities, 'red desert clay' has been termed "living clay" due to the greater abundance of negatively charged ions it carries.

"Living Clay presently is being used internationally to clarify and balance small and large bodies of water. This is so because "Living Clay" particles are smaller than many bacteria; when bacteria encounters an environment abundant in clay it becomes surrounded by the clay, and imbedded in it. The immediate result is that the bacteria are unable to receive nourishment and cannot survive." Dr. Simon Cohen N.D. a miracle of life

For up-to-date information read The Clay Cure by Ran Knishnisky. This book contains information on the different types of clay, the uses of clay, science and history, the value of minerals how and when to take to take it for your specific complaint as well as its effectiveness in treating a wide range of illnesses. Neva Jensen's book The Healing Power of Living Clay discusses primitive uses of clay, the effectiveness of clay minerals, how it works and touches on the theory and research.
